I have 2 layers with an intro animation of a clipboard that slides-in, and an outro of the clipboard that slides-out. When I click the clipboard to slide in it works fine and when I click it to slide out it works fine. When I click it the second time the slide-in clipboard works fine but the slide out animation doesn't. I set the setting to the layer to "Reset to initial state" thinking that it will reset but it doesn't. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue. I attached a sample of what i'm talking about.

Thanks for including the sample file! You almost have it--you just need one more trigger.
On the "ClipboardExit" layer, add this trigger:
Hide layer this layer when the timeline ends.
So the trigger panel on that layer should look like this:
