For some reason the animation-pane is "greyed out" when working with states in Storyline 2. How come? I've been using animated states a lot in storyline 1, is there something I'm missing or have this been "disabled" in Storyline 2?
I was also testing this and was able to add the animations within a state - to a new object, not the existing object. Is that what you're trying to do? If you'd like it to be the same object, just animated you can remove the existing object within the state and add a new instance of it - that one you'd be able to animate.
If you're still having difficulty please feel free to share your .story file here as Gerry mentioned.

Hi,
They seemed to be working just fine for me.
Can you share a slide with an object showing the issue?

Hi!
Ashley, you're right! I had to cut/paste the object if i just duplicated an original 'normal' state to be able to apply animations.
that was the solution! Thanks!
