Animation speed

Hi,
In Storyline, how fast is fast and how slow is slow in the animations? How long does a fast/slow animation last for? Is the animation timing included in the time shown on the time line eg 1 second fly in, show for 3 seconds, 1 second to fly out = 5 seconds on timeline?
Also, the animation speeds are different depending on whether you select All at once or By first level paragraph, with the latter being noticeably faster as an animation.
It would appear that the speed is for the whole block to animate, regardless of which mode is selected. Please can someone confirm this.
Thanks
Karl Manning

To add to the complexity, I have noticed that animations are also dependent on how long the object has been on the timeline. So if an animation is set to slow it will still execute fast if the object on the timeline is only there for a shot time; a second.
This thread here discusses some estimates for animation speed.
