I created some fade-in animations on a slide and added custom Next and Back buttons on the stage. On previewing, it works fine. I click Next and it goes to the next slide. In the next slide I click Back and it works too. However, the animations (fade in text and image) no longer happens on the original slide. It looks like it is in end state already.
You will need to tell SL to reset the slide to its initial state when revisiting and you can do this 2 ways:
In story view, click on the slide in question and then click on the drop-down next to 'When revisiting:' in the bottom right of your screen
In slide view, select the base layer of your slide, click on the cog icon (again, in the bottom right) and then click on the drop-down next to 'When revisiting:'
