Animations not in synch after state changes (Storyline 2)
Nov 15, 2016
Hello!
I've developed a course in Storyline 2 with a menu slide. Learners click on one of three objects on this slide, then are directed to the section for that object via hotspot. These objects animate in with audio (the hotspots aren't animated or timed, they're active on the slide the whole time). This menu slide is set to "reset to initial" upon revisiting.
Once the learner reaches the last slide of a section, a trigger on that last slide changes a variable for that section to "true," which prompts the object for that section on the menu slide to change to its "visited" state. This all works fine.
The strange thing is that when I return to the menu screen after completing a section, the object for the now-completed section doesn't animate in when it should. Rather, it appears from the beginning of the timeline. This happens with all three objects once I complete their respective sections. Nothing has changed on the menu slide timeline--all the animations are still intact.
I've run CCleaner, I've shut down and turned my computer back on, I've cleared by browser cache, and republished. I'm stumped--what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance for your insights,
Ashley

This worked! Hope others find this as helpful as I did.
Woohoo! So glad you were able to find a solution that works for you! And like you said, that solution will likely help another community member in the future. :)
