Announcing Storyline 2 Update 7, Storyline 1 Update 10, and Articulate Updater (iOS 9 support)

Hi everyone,

Good news: We just released updates to Storyline 2, Storyline 1, and the Articulate Updater to add support for iOS 9 in published output.

Apple plans to release iOS 9 tomorrow (September 16, 2015). 

The Storyline 2 update also adds support for Google Chrome 44 and later on Android devices, and crushes a few bugs.

The Articulate Updater scans and updates Storyline 2, Storyline 1, and Studio '13 published content to make it compatible with iOS 9 without having to re-publish your courses. 

We're working on finalizing Studio '13 Update 7 for iOS 9 support, which we'll release soon.

Update: Studio '13 Update 7 with iOS 9 support is also available. 

We'll auto-update all published Articulate Online content soon, too.

We have a team of 30 users who are currently facing issues with publishing Storyline 2.5 to word file. Articulate support advised us to install update 7 to fix this and we are currently liasing with our IT dept to get this done. But on the articulate website there is no link to just download the patch. We have to download the entire Storyline software with update 7. Which means we will have to uninstall the current version and install the new version of SL2.7. 

My question here is if we uninstall SL2.5 and re-install SL2.7 can we use the same Serial Number to get the Activation code from Articulate support?

Please let me know.

Thanks Leslie. When I click the above "Download Update 7" link it downloads a SL2 exe file. And since we work in a Bank with maximum IT security, to install this our IT dept has asked us to uninstall the previous version and then install this new exe version of SL2 with the update 7 within it.

Could you please tell me if the above exe link is just for the patch (update 7) or it is SL2 exe with update 7 in it? I understand it should override the previous version but in our IT environment, to install a new version we will have to uninstall the previous one first.

We are around 30users affected with this issue and this has to be pushed to our laptops through our IT depts. Will there be any issues if we are using a single corporate Serial number for all? The machine names will be different for all .

Please advise so that I can progress through the installation.

Yes, the link will be the full download as well if your IT Team needs to uninstall and reinstall.

As far as your serial number:

The Articulate Storyline End User License Agreement (EULA) allows each serial number to be activated by a single user. If more than one person logs onto the same computer, each will require their own unique serial number. See this article for more information.
