sorry for adding another discussion with the same topic, but I hope to get some help.
I'm creating linear courses. As the previous button works 'historic' by default I changed the trigger on every previous button of the course and entered the specific slide each button is supposed to send the user to.
Now, that doesn't seem to work. I just don't get any reaction clicking the previous button. Can anybody tell me what I have done wrong here?
Not sure its a bug or a storyline features because once menu is locked then user dont have an option to go to any pages by selecting menu or previous button, user can only go forward not previous pages.
lets wait from storyline team to listen its a bug or features :-)
it's probably mixed issue. You're right about changing the menu's setting to restricted but I still have problems with moving back and forward using the buttons. Need to click several times on the the button to continue.
Thanks for checking on my course. I solved the problem by unlocking the navigation completely. Doesn't seem to be a bug in the end. There seems to be a delay by default if the navigation settings aren't set to 'free'.

your triggers are set properly and it's weird the buttons don't work as they should. You could submit a support case here.
Would you share later a feedback you receive from Articulate? I'm going to bookmark this discussion and am interested in solution for this issue.
I have published your file and issue is happening because of menu is locked in player properties .
Instead of locking the menu you can select restricted option.
