Another Tabbing Highlight Issue

We ran across another tabbing/highlight box issue.

We have a menu type slide with multiple hot images on it. If you go the slide and tab through everything it works fine. All the objects show the yellow focus highlight box as you tab. If however, you go back a slide and return to the menu slide those same objects no longer show the focus highlight. The focus is actually ON the object but the tabbing highlight box does not show.

We noticed this behavior applies only to images (.png & .jpg) used as hot objects. If you use a Storyline shape for the hot spot the yellow tab highlight behaves as expected and always shows.

I think you guys can easily replicate this to test out the behavior. If you want to see our course file I would need to share it privately.

We're on the latest version of Storyline using the Classic Player. We just switched this course from using the Modern Player because tabbing doesn't work in Chrome with that player. One step ahead, one step back. Its not fun redoing work.

Hi there, Bob. I tried to recreate this behavior in this project. I have 3 slides. The top picture goes to slide 2, and the bottom picture goes to slide 3. You can use either the Previous button on the player or the top picture on slides 2 and 3 to return to the first slide. Either way, the highlight is showing for me in Chrome with Classic Player, HTML5 output.

Let me know what I can change so I can replicate what you're seeing!

Hi Crystal, I just checked it. The tabbing issue was with the Modern Player - Weird, Tabbing initially worked for me in Chrome. However, try publishing your file (same one attached), then exit out and Resume the course. Tabbing stopped working for me. You can select the items with your mouse, but keyboard selection has stopped.

See if that happens for you.
