i have a problem with my storyline-quiz. I made it in english and it worked without a problem. Now i wanted to put in another question by using copy and paste. In the previewmode when i hover the mouse over the answer-choices they always jump down a little bit. Is there an opportunity to solve the problem?
Attachement included. I found that one of the states for answer choices has a different text padding than the others, so when it is hovered over, it jumps up, down, or to the side. I believe the quiz questions were either imported from another project or had a different master style applied, making the change happen. So maybe some piece of data about the objects is not being communicated when importing or changing the styles.
Thanks for sharing the file here. I see the movement you're referring to - although it only moves the answers slightly to the right/left as a part of the hover state and it seems that its only showing that difference for the incorrect choices? I tried importing your file into a new file to see if it resolved the issue, but I still saw it. I tried adding a new question into your file and applying the slide master you're using, and that one behaved normally. You mentioned you had been importing from another project or with a different master - can you confirm that you're working on local project files as described here?
Without exception, I always open and work on projects from the local C: drive of my PC. What bothers me most about this is what you wrote about the incorrect choices being the ones that are affected. If an observant test taker figures that out, they'll know which answers are correct just by looking at each choice's behavior. I guess it doesn't really matter to me if they move or not when hovered over, just that every choice is completely consistent in their behavior.
Thanks for confirming that you work locally. Are you able to replicate this on every quiz question you add? Can you walk me through the steps you go through to set up a quiz question? As I mentioned, within your file I added a new question and applied your master and the behavior didn't occur on the new question or in a brand new file.

Check the hover state of the answers. Sometimes these get out of alignment with their normal state equivalents.
If they are off, just edit the hover state to be the same size and position of the normal state.
I still have a problem with this, and it's three years later and I'm using Storyline 2. Taking their time fixing it I guess.
