Hi there, Michael! I did a quick test on my own general file uploaded to the web, and I didn't see any shaking in Chrome, Edge or Safari. Which browser(s) are you using? If you can, share your .story file here and we'd be happy to test it out with you!
i've seen similar behaviour if you modify the length of the states of a response. ie. change the normal and for some reason the hover and/or selected state don't change to the same width.
Here is crude video that shows what I've experienced - not sure if it relates to your issue but thought I would mention it just in case.
