Any Possibilities?

Oct 01, 2013

I have a question regarding the drag and drop activity. Is it possible to program the answers so that it can belong to more than one drop target? In other words it would be correct if the learner dragged the answer to either target. They don't necessarily have to drag it to both targets, but if they picked either one, it is considered correct. Is that possible?

I have attached raw story file with this post for reference.

Hi Parashuram,

I don't have time to look at your story at the moment, but I remembered that Wim Timmerman posted a solution at this thread for multiple drag objects and multiple target areas. Not sure it's exactly what you're looking for, but perhaps it will get you started.

If you do go there, be sure to look at his P.S., which is where he provides a link to his updated and better solution.

Hello Rebecca,

I followed  Wim Timmerman's theory.

And partially succeed to achieve result I wanted.

But still have some problems I'm not able to drop items in incorrect fields, which should not happen.

Attaching new story after adding triggers suggested by  Wim Timmerman for further referances.

Thanks,

Hi Parashuram,

Glad Win's solution got you started. I think the attached does what you want.

I added triggers to change the state of items to Drop Incorrect if they were dropped in any of the incorrect targets (I think I got them all right, but be sure to proof. I'm sure you can fix it based on what I've done so far). So now they CAN be dragged to incorrect spots.

I  also updated the Show Correct and Incorrect layer conditions to accommodate this change. I think when you look at the triggers you'll "get it", but please do shout out with any questions.
