Any way to change states from within states?

May 12, 2016

Basically I have this object with most of its information inside a tab browser that is set up with states. In one box I have about double the amount of text of any other. So what I'm looking for is a way to alternate the text within the one tab probably with more/less buttons. I don't seem to be able to set triggers while editing states. I could duplicate the page with the relevant information but I'm left with the same problem of how to set a button within a state.

Any ideas on how I could achieve this?

Thanks in advance

I've just tried putting in a variable to change the state of box 1 to 3+ if its state is equal to 3. Which in my mind says if you click on the right box it will display the first page of info then clcik it again to switch between pages.(the state names for the information display box are 1-4) which seems like it should work but now it just seems to go to state 3+ regardless so yeah, that's annoying.

Attached is a screen shot of the slide if that helps. Rectangle 4 is the trigger I'm concerned with. Can I publish just a single screen?

I think i understand what you are trying to do. I was unable to find a way to create a trigger based on an object that exists only inside the state of another object. However, what i was able to do is get a scrolling panel into a state.

If it is just an issue of too much text to show in one state then you can use a scrolling panel. You can not put a scrolling panel directly into a state, but, you can place one on the slide, copy it, and then paste it into the state (Ctrl C, Ctrl V).

Hope that helps
