I would like to be able to play only part of a video embedded in a lesson (either under program control or as determined by the user) i.e. to play from point A to point B. I know I can create clips etc. but I want to save space.
Is there any way of doing that with the default articulate player? If not, do you have any suggestions for doing that (I thought of using the HTML5 <audio> and <video> tags but it could get complicated.
So far so good. It looks pretty much like what I am looking for - let me add one level of complication. I am trying to work with languages and you sometimes need to be really precise. I notice that the editor reports the position in numbers for the start and end of the trim. Is there any way that we can change the numbers rather than dragging the trim lines (or whatever they are called)? That will give a more precise level of control.
AND... one more complication - but maybe there is a solution...
I set start and ending points.
It plays the clip correctly inside the video editor - BUT when I play the clip in preview modes or publish it, the starting point has shifted. It start earlier and finishes later...

if you use the video editor it is possible to trim the video
That's interesting - and by trim I take it you mean without actually creating a new file???
Thank you
Yesit will trim the video and then add it back in and only play that section
In the timeline right click and choose edit video, you have options to trim and crop

Actually... what I said above is not correct. It starts after the starting point and ends after the endpoint -sorry.
