anyone having troubles bringing in power point with audio?

We are currently on Update 4, so you will want to download that here. I also want to confirm that the files are not playlists. Do you have all the Powerpoint slides and Storyline files stored locally on your computer?  You could upload the PPT file here if you would like us to test out an import.

We have storyline 2 running on three PCs. Two of these PCs have the same problem when opening power point files with audio. This problem exists when working with files stored on the local drive OR stored on the network. Because of my company polices I can share any of my files with you.

Of the two PCs running storyline 2 that DO NOT import the audio with the power point file they are running update 3: 1501.717, This version was DOWNLOADED today from your site!

The one that does load the audio when importing PPTX files is running update 3: 142.922

I the latest update is Version 4   1501 717. Can you verify the two computers on on that, and not 3? You could also try running a repair in case something went wrong with installation.

The location you sent this morning, is the same location I downloaded the file from this morning….
I sent an image with the details of the file.
I asked it was the correct version and this is your response?

the link I attached above is the correct latest version of Storyline 2.

I cannot see any image attachments. When you reply via email, no attachments appear. You would need to add images directly in this post by clicking on the title of the thread in your email.

I guess the image file does not come thought your system

We downloaded from that link yesterday and with the same results.

You say the correct version is Version 4 1501 717. But the version you point to gives us 3: 1412.922

You have downloaded from the link above, and you are getting update 3? If this is the case, could you please open a support case so someone could take a look at this further?

This is costing me a lot of time. You should be the one to open the support case, NOT your customer!

I am also having problems importing PowerPoint slides with audio recorded on each slide. I have the most recent update and I am working in PPT 2013.  All of the files are on my local computer.

Do you have this issue in all Storyline projects or just the one? 

I popped in to check on Pete's case and do not have any additional information to share.

This is the first PowerPoint I have tried to import with sound.

Hello Ann,

Do you have access to the audio files? Please keep in mind that importing from PowerPoint is not a one-to-one conversion. 

You might want to check the file names of the project and audio. Are there any spaces or special characters in any of the audio file names? That could cause a problem.

Here's some additional information that may help:

Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 
You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).
Are you able to import the audio files into Articulate Presenter?
