Applying Feedback Master

Dec 05, 2019

Hello. I've been frustrated by Feedback Masters and Layers since I started using Storyline over 8 years ago. I have a new project that will require me to write assessments for a large course that will require customized feedback. I'm determined to learn how to use the feedback master and layers properly to speed up development time.

I started by creating a feedback master and layouts. Below is the feedback master I created.
Feedback master

And the Feedback layer for the correct response.
Feedback layer correct

The text is vertically aligned to the top and left-justified.

However, when used in the file on both a freeform item and a graded question, the size of the text box changes as does the text alignment as shown by the correct slide layer below.
Correct layer

I've also attached the file. I'm on a pretty tight deadline and would greatly appreciate any assistance you are able to provide.

Thanks so much for your help and your video. That is frustrating. I was sure I was doing missing something. So, if I'm understanding correctly, the text placement from the feedback masters doesn't carry over to the individual slides, requiring textboxes to be removed and feedback to be added on the multiple layers of each slide. This seems like a glitch in the program.
