I have been testing Storyline 360 for its features in software simulations, but when I try to apply a custom Slide Master/Layout to existing slides from the screen recording, the objects I added to the master/layout are not applied to the slides. Any feedback about this would be greatly appreciated!

Great question! From the Design tab, un-check 'Hide background graphics', and then you should see the objects on the Slide Master. I hope this helps!
