Applying True/False to a Name variable?

Feb 14, 2020

I'm using a virtual keyboard to train people on data entry for a software program. The virtual keyboard is set up with javascript triggers so when a user presses a key, the keystroke displays via a Name variable on a “screen.” The screen is just a shape that holds the reference to the Name variable.

I’d like to use this functionality to evaluate the accuracy/correctness of the users’ entries, but am unsure how to set this up so the Name variable is either correct/incorrect or true/false. I’ve tried using a freeform Pick Many quiz question, but since the sequence of the keyboard entries matters, that's not ideal. Learners would get the answer right even if they typed the keys in the wrong sequence. I've also tried the Pick One question type (because I could set the correct sequence up in the correct answer), but with so many keys, it’s really cumbersome. Using states for my key "shapes" would be simple and easy, but again since the sequence matters, that’s not an option either. Can anyone offer a little help?
