I am working with some previously developed storyline modules that have Arabic text in them. These files were developed before my time. I know there are working versions of these modules. However, when I preview or publish them, all the Arabic text disappears. Any ideas what I am missing?
Absolutely would be my expectation. I would advise to be sure that you are on the latest update to Storyline and if so, you may want to consider a repair to see if this alleviates your issue.
OK thanks, I am working with my tech support to see if all the necessary conditions are met on my laptop. Will take some time as we are hours apart at the moment. I'll let you know if I got it to work! Thanks for thinking with me :-)
I needed to install the Arabic Language support, which took a lot more effort than the description in the link below. Admin rights, XP service pack, working remote does not help. But we got it sorted. Thanks for your help!

Hi Jeroen!
Would you be able to share a .story file for someone to take a look?
absolutely, thanks!
For example:
Hi Jeroen!
I'm not having difficulty with previewing or publishing your project.
Does my published output look as expected to you:

Yes, exactly. So it should be something with my laptop rather than Storyline I guess ...
Not sure how to investigate further though. It is weird that the text shows in Storyline, so one would think the machine can handle Arabic text ...
