Articulate and HCMS integration

We are looking at various Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) software packages for our company, and I'm wondering how well Articulate integrates with them. It seems that a lot of them either have their own e-learning tools or have a preferred vendor. I understand that there may be some development effort to integrate software from two different vendors, but as long as both support SCORM or Tin Can, should that be enough for the purpose of integration?
