Articulate Mobile App

Jun 19, 2013

Looking for clarification on how this works related to an LMS.  From what I've been piecing together from posts is that the only way this App works is 1) if you content is standalone on a content server that you link directly to or 2) if your LMS using Tin Can API.     In other words if I publish a course for SCORM that allows for mobile app and html5 publishing and l upload it to our LMS (which is currently Moodle) and launch the course on my ipad through my browser, the storyline functionality will work on my ipad via the browswer, but it will not prompt a connection to run through the app?

  Is that accurate?

If so, is there any plans to allow this in the future or will the mobile app only work with LMSs that support Tin Can?

Hi Amy! If the LMS or Web Server requires authentication, then it will not work with Articulate Mobile Player.  The Tin Can API does allow the security credentials to pass to a mobile app is why this works. You can read this article for more information. I'm not sure what the plans are for this in the future, but you could submit a feature request for that.
