Articulate Mobile Player Anroid

Jan 20, 2014

Hi All

Not sure if this has already been requested however I was wondering if a Mobile Player app for Android was road mapped. Reason being the HTML5 player does not load well on Samsung devices running 4.1.2. The sizing is out of whack and the logo does not display correctly.

I have a similar problem with a student who is studying our course with/through her Samsung tablet.

She talks about the Storyline presentations not optimised for tablets.

Susan, there is no Mobile Player App for Android, and officially Android is not supported yet. What Storyline HTML5 features do and don't work on Android very much depends on your device and version of the OS. For example, I had done testing with a Samsung Galaxy SIII and while buttons, layer etc. worked okay, audio didn't play at all. One possible workaround is to load an App like the Photon Browser or similar (see here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsverse.photon&hl=en) onto the Android device, which then plays the Flash version, instead of HTML5.
