Can someone explain how to use the mobile player for iPad?
I downloaded the app (v1.74) from ITunes onto my iPad (vers 3). I start it up and get the help screen. Tapping the Library and Favorites icons change the heading, but that is it.
There doesn't seem to be a way to add things to the library, connect to the internet, nothing. This can't be right, can it?
Open Mobile Safari (or any other installed browser on your iPad) and navigate to "http://path/to/your/story.html" . AMP will then launch automatically and add the course to the Library.
It starts to load in safari and then it automatically launches the mobile player app.
I guess it is just a misunderstanding of how the mobile player app works. I expected that there was something I could do from the mobile player app to initiate playing/launching a new course.
Evidently that expectation was mistaken.
I think it would be helpful if the help screen mentioned something about that. Or maybe when you first launch it and select library/favorites it says something like "You will need to navigate to content with your browser to add courses to your Library." or something like that.
I guess ideally I would like to be able to use the mobile player to discover and bring things into my library.
Glad that worked for you, and I totally agree I think it would be really cool to use the library tab within the Mobile Player to browse available online courses somehow. Would be a great feature request...
We have tried publishing it in Scorm 1.2 and as a Web output, neither will trigger the mobile player.
Also, opening that link with Safari, Google, or Chrome will work but there are bugs where the buttons sometimes take several touches to function and sometimes the video says it cannot play. We have tried republishing several times to no avail.
I agree that when you are first learning how to add things to your library it's very confusing. I wish the library screen would explain how to add things to your library. Glad I found this discussion so I could figure it out.

Hi Troy Troy,
I think you were trying to open the "Story_html5.html". That is part of the branching from the "Story.html". When you load the Story_html5.html, it will not know to load the Articulate Mobile player.

Hope it helps,

Really? That isn't intuative at all. And it seems like they would mention that on the help screen.
Also that didn't work.
I found this thread where sombody else seems to have the same problem.

Hi R,
Can you tell me exactly what happens when you launch this course (http://pmjanderson.articulate-online.com/9448701108) from your iPad? Thanks!

Hi Peter,
Just a question about the mobile player. Do you have any idea if such a player will also be developped for Android and Surface tablets?
Thanks and all the best,
John
Hi John!
A native app for Android and Windows tablets are popular feature requests. We haven't announced any plans for either, but feel free to add your voice.
Thanks!
Hi John,
Articulate Mobile Player will auto open on my iPad 3 when I try your link above: (http://pmjanderson.articulate-online.com/9448701108) but it will NOT auto open for this link: https://etraining.fabioperini.com/video/Forming/story_html5.html
