I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet (9.7") with software up-to-date and using Google Chrome.  Launching courses in my LMS won't trigger the Articulate Mobile App, it simply loads the HTML version.  However, launching on an iPad loads the course in the Articulate Mobile App.

Does something special have to be configured for Android?

I understand Alexander.

You can verify that your Android device meets the specifications listed here and I would also advise testing the content in SCORM Cloud to see if you are able to replicate or if the issue lies within your LMS.

If you need me to take a look, then you can share via one of the methods shared above.

Hi Alexander!

I just tested your content and published as Tin Can, since this would be needed to utilize tracking in your LMS with the Articulate Mobile Player and it seems to be working.

To track learners who view your course on mobile devices, do any of the following, depending on your LMS:

Articulate Online

LMS

  • For the best experience, mark the box to Use Articulate Mobile Player for iOS or Android.
  • If learners will be using mobile devices other than iPad, mark the box to Include HTML5 output.
  • If your LMS supports Tin Can API, mark the box to Use Articulate Mobile Player for iOS or Android for the best experience.
  • If your LMS doesn't support Tin Can API, mark the box to Include HTML5 output.
  • If learners will be using mobile devices other than iPad, mark the box to Include HTML5 output.

I am very aware of the tracking differences between all publishing standards.  Although my LMS does not support Tin Can, we would still like to use the Articulate Mobile Player App as it improves the smoothness of the courses and general user experience.  Tracking is not a concern, we can live without it for certain uses.

From what I can gather, there is a bug in your system as the App will not launch for SCORM 1.2 published material.  SCORM 1.2 launching the App on iOS is perfectly functional, it just doesn't work on Android.

Thank-you.  Please keep me posted.  We hope to use Android with the Mobile Player App as there seems to be some rendering quality issues in HTML5.  The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a retina-like display and the way text gets rendered in Google Chrome with Storyline appears to be a bit low-res / blurry.

Quality / sharpness appears to be a lot better in HTML5 on iOS.

Thank-you for also submitting the case!
