Is anyone else having issues with Articulate Review on Chrome? I've had to start using Firefox to review stuff because my Chrome is not playing some of my courses.
I have Storyline 3, not 360, but many of my published courses have stopped working smoothly, or have had weird glitches when viewed in Chrome. It doesn't happen for all users. It doesn't happen on my Chrome, but it has for more than a handful of others.
The attached image shows one of the weirdest glitches, besides general choppiness and long load times. It should say "Communication Meeting 2018." But there are letters missing. It happens throughout the course, but it seems to be just TALL letters, like "t" and "l". Especially the "ti" combination.
We've been working through some issues Chrome's new media autoplay rules have introduced. We've addressed audio and video issues with our recent updates.
What kinds of issues are you seeing?
Do you have audio or video with audio on the first slide?
Can you let me know what version of Chrome you're using, and what version of Storyline you currently have installed?

Lastly, I'd love to get an example Share URL from Articulate Review to test on my end. I'm happy to have a look at your .story file too.
Hi there, Adam. Thanks for sharing those screenshots. I'm sorry you're getting reports from your users about a poor experience when viewing your output in Chrome. Do you know if the affected users are all on the same version of Chrome? Does their version differ from yours?
As for the files with the missing letters, could you share a copy of your .story file for testing? I'm curious about the font being used, and if I can reproduce this in a few different environments.
Thank you, Crystal. We are in the process of gathering which version of Chrome the affected users are on. However, one commonality we did notice among the reports was that they were each on Windows 10. My colleague and I are on Windows 7, and when we both tried it in Chrome, there was no issues with letters disappearing, though the lag/slow load times were still an issue.
Again, I am still working to find out what version of Chrome the users are on, but each user had Windows 10 in common in the screenprints they sent me.
I can tell you I am on Chrome Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I will attempt to attach the .story file, here.
It won't let me attach the file. I even deleted a bunch of slides so it went from 40MB to 19MB, but it keeps spinning, then the webpage eventually times out.
So, instead, I published the smaller (19MB) version to Articulate Online. (It will be disjointed, since there's a lot of slides missing, but it should work for the purposes of testing.) Here is the link: https://colonybrands.articulate-online.com/0878378833
If there is a different way you want me to upload the .story file, let me know.
Hm, Adam - that file size should work fine for upload to the E-Learning Heroes community, but if you can't upload using the Add Attachment button, you can always send to our Support Engineers using the link here.
Thanks for sharing your file. I took a look and published it with Storyline 3 Update 4 for web and uploaded to my Amazon S3 server. You can view a copy of the output here (HTML5) and I also provided a copy of the Flash output here.
Both of those playback normally for me in Chrome, and you'll see that the HTML5 output does have the play button to start to course if you're viewing in Chrome 66 or later. I didn't see any inconsistencies with the text either, but with the locked navigation I didn't advance incredibly far.
Let me know what you experience and if this looks different than what your users are seeing!
I'm also having problems with Articulate Review in the latest version of Chrome. I'm working on a Windows 10 PC 64-bit desktop computer. I'm using Storyline 360 v3.16.15842.0.
For some clients, I have to begin the module with a video or some audio. I'm now making sure there is a trigger that the user must press to play the video or audio, but even that doesn't work in Articulate Review on Chrome. I'm just seeing a blank slide, and there is no opportunity to start the module. This is HTML5 output.
Hi there, Tracy. Are you able to share your Review Share URL with me for that content? I'd like to test it out. If you need to keep it private, you can share it with me here. Just mention my name if you do!
Hey, Tracy. Thanks for sharing the link! I emailed you back with some specifics.
For those folks following along in the discussion, Tracy's course used the classic player with some features removed. I noticed that it was showing the launch screen (expected), but missing the play button (weird) in the HTML5 output in Chrome. It was happening when the course was hosted outside of Review, as well.
After some troubleshooting, I reset the player and removed the features again. I republished, and the play button showed on the launch screen since there is video on the first slide (yay!).
I'm hoping resetting the player knocked out any strange behavior, but I'll let Tracy confirm if that solution works for her.
Has anyone else had a problem with Chrome recently? I just made my first course in Storyline 360 and about 6 people have reviewed it using Review 360. One reviewer today was using Chrome and the layers were glitching. Sometimes she saw the character "Marilyn" with 4 arms (see image) and sometimes it worked fine. I suspect the other reviewers were using Explorer as that is still my company's default browser.
Hi there, Kristin. That shouldn't be happening! We're happy to have a closer look at your .story file and your Review 360 URL, if you can share them privately with us. I see that you have at least one other issue with Review 360 output, so hopefully we can find a common thread.

Same here. Happened like a week ago.

I sent you the link through Articulate Support--thanks for looking into this!

I see that you were able to work directly with Gerald :)
Yes, thanks!
