Articulate Storyline 2 collapses when it should publish to LMS (at question 19)

Hello,
I am clueless as to what I should try next:
I had several problems with publishing to Word (and yes, I have all languages installed as denoted in the support / knowledge posts here).
So I gave up, finished the course and published it several times to LMS - which worked.
Then I made massive changes to variables and triggers and now publishing no longer works: Storyline processes questions and with question 19 it stops and then message "Articulate Storyline 2 is no longer working (Cancel)" from Windows is shown.
I de-installed, re-booted, and re-installed Storyline 2, with no luck.
I tried to publish to Word again - same problem with too many grammar problems as before. (But when trying to reboot Word comes finally up and I am able to save the file as a new file. It is incomplete, missing most of the questions as well, but has 25 questions from three question pools in it).
Now what to try next? Currently I don't have the money to buy any other version or use Articulate 360 ...
I am able to publish other courses, though ...

Hello Maud,
Thank for reaching out and sharing what you are running into with your project.
It sounds like you've narrowed it down to a single project and a single slide.
You could try importing this project into a new file to see if that allows you to publish as expected.
If not, I would delete this slide and test if the publishing works. If so, you should be able to recreate the slide and proceed.
