Articulate Storyline 2 - Navigating to slide layers in the menu

Feb 02, 2017

I am using a timeline template in Articulate 360. In the menu I have listed as children all 9 topics on that menu. Is there a way to allow viewers to click on the children in the menu and be navigated to the timeline page? The timeline is one of about 10 pages. If the viewer wants to navigate back to it right now, they have to click on the timeline parent page - the children don't link to anything. My viewers are going to think it is broken.

Can this be changed?

Hi,

I have attached the file.

When viewing the project, if you click on the menu at the top and go to Ethics Related to Verification of Patient Identity - you can jump to that slide. However, if you try to click on one of the children it doesn't take you anywhere. We are trying to allow it to jump to the base Ethics Related to... slide again.

Can it do that?

Hi Melinda!

Thanks so much for your patience. The menu items in the orange box below are actually considered "headings", and they aren't linked to anything. Headings are used when you want to insert additional titles into your menu to help organize it.

Slide 1.13 "Ethics Related to Verification of Patient Identity" is a single slide with 5 layers, and there isn't an option to jump to a particular layer from the Player Menu. I would suggest removing the headings within the orange box so users won't be confused when they click on them and nothing happens.

I hope this helps!
