Can someone at Articulate elaborate on what it means that it "adds support for Adobe Flash Player 16?" This update description is vague, and as a worrier, it makes me worry about what will happen if people upgrade to Flash Player 16 and try to access our non-update-3 content.
Thanks Will - that directs right to the download page where there is just a brief listing of what's impacted by a release. You can always see the entire release notes here, and granted Update 3 only dealt with one issue, so I can see what you're saying about the listing of information.
Articulate Storyline 1 Update 8 is now available for download. It adds support for the Adobe Flash Player 16 issue detailed in this thread and others. Click here to download the update.
Hi, I installed the Storyline version linked to in this article on to a new PC, however I am still getting the problem that the software won't open and just comes up with the message that Flash Player later than version 10 needs to be installed.
I have updated, with reboots inbetween, Adobe Flash Player, but still I can't open Storyline.
I'm sorry to hear you're still having difficulty, and if after installing Storyline 1 Update 8 you're still having difficulty it may be easiest to continue troubleshooting this with our Support engineers directly so that they can look into your system set up further. You can connect with them here.
I thought I would update this post in case it helps some else with the same problem. I installed the Internet Explorer version of Adobe Flash, rather than the default Windows 7 version, despite the fact that I don't use Internet Explorer, and it solved the problem.
Thanks Carolyn for the update - and yes, you'll need Flash installed on your Windows system in addition to whatever browser you use to view your content will also have to allow Flash content.

Thanks to the Related Content over there on the right I found my answer:

"Published content isn't impacted."
Note - you might want to add the full explanation on the update page?
Hi Will,
That is documented here on the KB article, which is the general path to get the update.
I found the update via the check for updates feature in the application.
