Articulate Storyline 3 - Importing Department Theme
Jan 12, 2018
My department is working on standardizing its brand identity. As part of that process, my co-worker has created a theme in PowerPoint for use in our e-Learning courses and presentations, complete with specific colours, buttons, etc. Overall the PowerPoint imports well and I've found the post regarding creating new theme colours, but I am wondering about importing graphics to use as custom buttons. From previous discussion posts, buttons cannot be imported - only created - in Storyline?
The co-worker who created the presentation is not an e-Learning developer so cannot develop directly in Storyline. If I cannot import her design(s), I will have to attempt to recreate.
Thanks
Maryanne

Hi Maryanne,
Any graphics in a PPT file should import fine into a SL file. You would need to add states and triggers to any graphics though, if you want them to behave as buttons. Is that what you mean?
Also, you could just insert graphics (png or jpg, or similar) into your SL file, make them into buttons, and save it as a template. Would that solve your issue?
Hi Maryanne
I had the same situation last year. I saved the graphics from the PPT and created a corporate template and developed a series of slide masters with colours, fonts, logos and graphics. Makes creating new programs quicker and has the corporate standard.
Good luck
Thanks Veronica
Somehow I didn't get the notification email of your response. I'll have to look for the 'how-tos' that you suggest, thanks for the direction.
Thanks Mr C
