Articulate Storyline 3: real time text input

Oct 11, 2017

Hello!
In Storyline 2, text input into the form (in HTML5 mode) occurred in real time. No need to confirm the input. And that's fine.
In Storyline 3, unfortunately, it no working. You need to confirm the input by clicking. Can I do it as before?

I know this is not helpful, but I've (personally) never seen text input work this way, in any version of Storyline. If you were getting it to work that way in SL2's HTML5 output you may have gotten lucky...

I usually try to make up for this by finding a way for them to confirm the input that feels like a natural part of the workflow, which sometimes is easier said than done.

Hopefully someone here will have better advice.

Hello Oleg,

I agree with Brian and the text is usually accepted 'when control loses focus' by default or with whatever keystroke may be necessary as mentioned above.

If that is not what you are referring to, please feel free to share a .story file so that I can understand what you are working on :)

We are currently on Update 12 of Storyline 2 and do not typically recommend using out-dated versions of the software.
