Why does Storyline 360 produce a swf file in the "mobile" folder when publishing in HTML 5 Only? See attached file.
We are using a search feature to find the courses that need to be converted to HMTL 5 (contain swf files). However, with the random swf in the mobile folder, we are getting a "false positive".
We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here.
One of the fixes addresses an issue where HTML5-only courses with logos sometimes had unnecessary SWF (Flash) files in the published output. Thanks for narrowing down the issue for us!
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
Hello. Has this really been resolved? I have the latest update but am still getting a swf tag appearing on my certificate page which appears to be interfering with the print certificate javascript. Thanks
hello, I found an alternative solution: delete all files of type swf from the "story_content" folder and delete all lines of code that name the file "swf" in the xml file "imsmanifest.xml" that is generated. I hope it works like me. Greetings from Mx

I believe the issue is isolated to the logo.
If you use a png for the logo, then the published HTML 5 only file contains a swf (flash) in the mobile folder.
If you use a jpeg for the logo, then the published HTML 5 only file DOES NOT contain a swf (flash) in the mobile folder.
Hi Joel,
Sorry, you've run into this trouble! Our team has spotted the same issue and we're looking into it and determining strategies to fix it.
Glad you found the workaround of using the JPEG instead. We'll keep you posted here once we have more details on a permanent solution!

Hi Chris,
If you're still seeing swf files with your HTML5 only publish, that's something we would be happy to take a look at.
You can share your file privately with our support team here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
