Articulate Storyline content is not loading in iOS9 Beta 5

Sep 04, 2015

We are testing elearning modules that are published using Articulate Storyline 1 and Articulate Storyline 2 in iOS 9 Beta 5, we noticed that the content pages are not loading in the module, we can see the menu, top panel(Exit and Resources) and bottom panel(Page progress bar, Next, Previous and Volume controller), did any of you noticed the same issue?

Browser: Safari

iPad: iPad Air

LMS: Success Factor

Appreciate any insights.

Hi Jo,

Did you already update to the latest update of Storyline 2, update 7? Or use the Articulate Updater in regards to the iOS9 issues?

Also, when looking to access the courses on the iPad, I'd also look at clearing the browser history to ensure you're using the latest update of the courses instead of accessing a previously loaded link.

Hi Jo,

So from those images it looks like you have a .story file and you ran the update for Studio '13. Those are two different products - and I'd want to make sure you download the Storyline update and run that Updater vs. the Studio '13 version. I included those links in my previous reply - ignore my links for Andrew as those were for  Studio.

If you're still having difficulty after running through those steps, please reach out to our Support team.

Any reported problems for running videos on the iPad ios9 with Storyline 2 Update 7 in HTML5?

My videos are encoded with Adobe Premiere in h.264 (.mp4).  I just get the first frame preview in Safari and Chrome, no playback controls, cannot start video.

PS: video works fine on an Android 4.0 handset running Google Chrome (HTML5).

Hi Alexander,

I published your course and tested it at SCORM Cloud and you can also access the course here.  I viewed it on my desktop in Chrome and my iPad mini in Safari with iOS 9.0.2 and they both played the same in that the video and audio started. I did want to note, that for the video there is no image movement till about 15 seconds in? Perhaps that is what you're referring too? I see that same behavior when just previewing the video in Storyline so it seems to be the video itself. If you're seeing different inside Storyline I'd need to take a look at the original video file.
