Articulate Storyline: Course Tracking
May 30, 2014
Hi,
I have setup variables in my eLearning course so that the assessment section does not unlock until the user has gone through every section in the course. When testing the final course, I exited at the halfway point to see if the tracking did actually work. This worked fine.
I opened up the course again and went through the remaining sections which then opened up the assessment section. At this point I closed the course (to test the tracking again). When opening the course up, the course opened up at the point where I had closed at the earlier point, therefore the assessment was not locked.
Please could someone advise on why this is happening? I am testing the course using Reload Scorm 1.2 Player. This is not a linear course
Thanks

Hi Adeyemi,
do you have the option "resume on start/prompt to resume or always resume" in the player properties enabled?
You would have to set it to "never resume".
cheers,
Joanna
Hi Adeyemi,
Have you tried to pass the halfway point, but not reach the assessment and close the course? Where did you resume to that time? It's possible you're exceeding the SCORM 1.2 suspend data limit, as it's smaller than the other SCORM options.
