Articulate Storyline Freezes When Selecting Trigger Target Slide

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend, because it's time to despair!

This is what I came back to work to.

In Articulate Storyline, I need to designate an icon on a particular slide as a trigger that, when the user clicks it, will go to the next slide -  a purely routine action that I have repeated in this file in multiple previous slides and scenes.

Only this time, when I click the Create a New Trigger button, and try to select the target slide by using the slider in the drop-down list, that is when AS freezes up completely. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200 (a dated reference, perhaps, but welcome to my Tuesday morning).

Note: I have already filed a case and uploaded the troubling file in question to the AS wizards.

Here is what happens, step by step:

1. I click on the icon that I want to add a new trigger to (thus highlighting it)

2. I click the Create a New Trigger Button. The Trigger Wizard window displays.

3. In the Trigger Wizard window, in the "Slide:" field (second one down), I click the down arrow to reveal a list of potential target slides.

4. It is when I begin to move the slider down the drop-down list, or use the directional keys on the keyboard to move up or down the list, that the application freezes up completely. At this point, the only thing left to do is to use Windows Task Manager to End the Task.

At the time of the incident, WTM showed CPU Usage at 1% and Physical Memory at 31% (although I have never pretended to understand what the latter really means). I am running Windows 7.

Feel free to contribute anything of relevance to this discussion (and I feel it is a discussion, not a question, as I have already submitted the file and case to the appropriate parties). Have you experienced something like this?

(I have the dread feeling that it's yet another Flash issue, just like with the ActionScript Error).
