Articulate Storyline II - Email + Survey

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions. What I want to create is a simulation where the students have to type an email and send to a email address per example johndoe@johndoe.com

Is this even possible in Articulate Storyline II? :) Or I could make a fill in the blank quiz and do it as such but then the enter button will cause an issue.

Another question is as follows:

I want to create a survey and store survey responses in an LMS (Netdimensions).
When I complete the survey as a test I can't find the results in the LMS.. nowhere. Any clue what I am missing? Yes I do have a result slide.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, M -- Thanks for reaching out, and do you have a file started that you could share? It may help others gain a better idea of what you have in mind, and therefore, can offer more suggestions.

And I cannot speak to having used the Netdimensions LMS personally, but may I ask if you have reached out to them directly to inquire where your results may be stored? And just so you have it handy, here is our documentation on Publishing a Course for LMS

Sorry for the really late reply lol :P

Via the LMS isn't a possibility as it publishes the answers in a single cell with a limited amount of characters, so I was wondering if it would be possible via articulate. The user has to type in an email in the elearning itself and when clicking on a sendbutton, their email will be send to an email adress (per example johndoe@johndoe.com) so that the teacher can check it.

That's all :) Call it an email simulation if you will. Is that possible in storyline ?

Hi, M -- Thanks for your reply, and my apologies if I am not clear on what you need, but perhaps you will need to take a look at the information below regarding the emailing of results:

Articulate Storyline Doesn't Include an Email Results Feature

We want every feature in our software to work well. Unfortunately, there’s no way to email quiz results easily, accurately, and consistently. For example, if you use Gmail or your computer’s security settings are high, you can’t email results. Also, you run the risk of learners tampering with results since they can access the email before it’s sent. Given these limitations, we decided not to include the email results feature in new products.

Perhaps others in the community can share other ideas or solutions to assist you further.
