Articulate Storyline is running slowly
Dec 19, 2014
Hi! Would anyone have solutions or working tips on how to address Storyline's slow performance?
I put together a new project with 6 lessons. They were made separately to be compiled. Now that I'm compiling them, Storyline takes a long time (aroud 5 sceonds) to respond to any action such as adding text, moving objects, copying and pasting, etc.
The whole compilation is composed of 35 scenes, around 4 slides each. The total size of the final Storyline file is 60mb. Total of 15mb for images, 6mb for videos and 8mb for audio narration. I used motion paths and animations for the assets within Storyline as well. It seems the amount of assets causes the performance of Storyline to suffer.
Would there be any tips on how to work to optimize the assets? Or would this be a Storyline issue?
My PC specs are below:
Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600) (9600.winblue_r3.140827-1500)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 16268MB
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Thanks!
UPDATE! Tried merging each lesson into one scene each and then imported the scenes into one file and it worked. No problems at all with the performance :)
