Articulate Storyline 360 says offline

Sep 26, 2018

Hello,

I am in a fix. I am trying to convert text to speech. But everytime I click the button, Storyline displays a message 'You are offline. Please connect to the internet and try again.' I am online. I also have Rise open on Chrome. Please help.

Thanks.

Regards,
Diana

Hi Diana,

I'd start by checking that you've enabled the network endpoints and ports listed here.

As that message indicates that Storyline can't connect to a piece of the Articulate 360 setup. If you're still stuck, I'd ask you to reach out to our Support Team next. They'll be in the best position to dig deeper into your computer settings and anything else causing the error.

Hi Rosemarie,

You can use Articulate 360 tools like  Storyline 360, Studio 360, Replay 360, and Peek 360 offline.  offline, but certain features will need an active internet connection like Text to Speech, Content Library, etc.

If you're offline longer than 99 consecutive days, the apps will stop working, as we won't be able to validate the subscription. To re-enable them, simply connect to the internet and sign into Articulate 360.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Ok - this drives me a little bonkers! I'm online (according to chrome and the Articulate website) and the Content Library reads "You are offline. Please connect to the internet and try again."  I resolve this by rebooting my computer, but --- come on!  There has got to be a better way!  My computer takes so long to boot up (I know, not your issue) but when the Articulate Internet site shows me logged in ... ok I'm ranting.  Any suggestions other than rebooting?

Hi Lynn,

Sorry to hear you’re running into this! It sounds like your web browser confirms you’re online, but as soon as you’re in Storyline, you come across offline notifications?

I’d recommend taking a look at the article Ashley mentioned above regarding your network endpoints and contacting your IT. If you hit a wall, feel free to reach out to our support engineers here. They’re available 24/7 to assist!

Hi Heinz,

If you're seeing an offline message while trying to access tools like Text to Speech, I'd start by enabling the network endpoints and ports listed here. If you're on a computer at home, is your company in charge of the VPN settings? If so, they can help you work through those endpoints.

Let us know if you need anything else!

Hello,

I cannot login to Articulate 360 storyline. It tells me to login so I entered my address and password. First it told me I was offline although I had connection to the internet. So I closed the software and reopened it, to try again. Now this time login screen shows but there is no input field for email address and password. Please help.

Hi there, Noriko!

I'm sorry to hear about the blank login screen. Let's get that fixed!

  • First, close the Articulate 360 desktop app by right-clicking the Articulate icon in the system tray and selecting Quit.
  • After that, let's restart the machine once more and try signing in again.

If that doesn't help, use this link to connect with our Support team for speedy help!

I am experiencing the same text-to-speech issue that began this thread, and I have tried the suggestions offered by all of you. I am in the office hooked directly to the network, and I am logged in to Articulate 360 desktop app. This is a first for me. I will contact support, however I thought it may be helpful to post this in order to document it for others.

Hi Jerry, James, and Janean!

We're aware of the issue with our Text-to-Speech tool and are actively working on it. I'm sorry if this is slowing you down!

While I don't currently have an ETA on a fix, you can subscribe on our status page to be notified when it's ready to go.
