Do you have an estimate on when Storyline will support Tin Can API 0.95 or 1.0? Can you provide any demo content for us to test? We have built an LRS and have a lot of Storyline customers needing features/reporting that we can't provide them because Storyline is currently only 0.9 Tin Can API spec compliant.
You're correct, Storyline currently uses 0.9. From what I'm hearing, we are planning to support 1.0, but we currently aren't able to share a time frame for when it will be available.
Personally I would suggest using SCORM for the time being, if you want to hold out for 1.0 support.
Not quite sure what you're looking for. Are you simply looking for Storyline courses you can test on your LRS? There's quite a few example files available from community members throughout the forum and there's a lot of free courses available for download as well.
You can download some free templates and courses from the following Articulate pages:
+1 It would be really helpful if someone from Articulate could provide at least a rough idea of the timeframe or release schedule. We have had many inquiries now that the specification has reached 1.0.
We have a temporary fix for so that Storyline can work with Wax LRS and other LMS tools/plugins like LearnDash and Grassblade! You can use this free Storyline converter: http://converter.saltbox.com so that Storyline xAPI (Tin Can) v0.9 packages will now include activity names. A few easy steps...
1 - Publish your xAPI Storyline course to a zip file.
2 - Upload your course package (zip file) to the website above.
3 - Wait for an email with a link to the new course. Download it.
4 - Upload your new course package to Grassblade/LearnDash.
This way, the reports in Wax LRS look much better and your Storyline courses now have names. Please email support@saltbox.com if you have any issues or questions.
Thanks, Ashley. I finally submitted a feature request, but I would be amazed if our good ole' developers were not aware of this huge need already. Without support for tin Can 1.0, Storyline is useless for output to the Tin Can SCORM.
Thanks Steve for submitting the feature request, as that helps our developers know what our customers need, but also how much of a priority it is for you vs. just a nice feature to have.
Has there been any more news on this since Dec.? This is really important since Captivate and Lectora are on the latest ver. of Tin Can. Just having a general date would be really helpful.
I don't have any further information to share here, but if you'd like to see support for Tin Can 1.0 I'd suggest submitting a feature request to our development team.
This is an huge issue for me right now too. I'm at the point now where I'm about to drop Storyline and switch to another product. I have submitted a feature request, but there has been no update so I'm going to assume that this is not a priority in 2014. I find it hard to believe that this doesn't fall under the "need to have" category for the developers, considering every other product has this and Tin Can 1.0 is quickly becoming the new standard.
Hello - OK I just switched organizations and I have an opportunity to switch authoring tools. Tin Can 1.0 is still a priority (even in the new organization). I understand that it's not available yet in Storyline, however is this update on a project plan for the Storyline development team? I'm sure you all forecast software upgrades at least 6 months in advance - No? If you can't provide a date, I'd appreciate a general sense of how long it will be approximately, i.e. 6 months, 9 months, 1 year.....
I can't offer any specific dates or timelines, but it is something I've seen a number of users request so if you haven't done so already it helps our team track the need for such updates if you can submit a feature request.
It does not yet support Tin Can 1.0 (sorry!) but you'll want to share your thoughts in the form of a feature request, as the more of those the better! They go to our product development team who keep track of overall requests, ideas, etc. for future versions of Storyline.
Is Tin Can 1.0 still not supported? We were just given a request to try to support Articulate Storyline courses on our LMS and are in the process of trying to identify if this is even feasible and how it could be done.
Storyline Update 6 is available now which included a number of bug fixes, but not support for Tin Can API 1.0. If you'd like to see additional support in the next version of Storyline, you'll want to share your thoughts here in the form of a feature request.
Storyline 2 now supports Tin Can 1.0, although Storyline 1 is still only supported for Tin Can 0.95. So depending on which version you're using will determine which Tin Can option you have available.

Thanks. Is there any demo content that you may be able to provide so we can support Storyline sooner?
Thanks,
Ali

You can download some free templates and courses from the following Articulate pages:
Downloads: Articulate Storyline
Getting Started with Articulate Storyline (tutorials, but contains practice files)
Or, if you'd like, you're welcome to try Storyline. With the trial, you'd be able to create your own demo and test it on your system.
I hope this helps :) Have a great day, Ali!

Another month, another cry for help... Lack of 1.0 support negatively effects my Storyline purchase decision. Tracking this post.
Lack of 1.0 support simply means that it don't work. Please update. (Pleading with a stifled tear.)
Hi Steve,
Did you submit this as a feature request? That is how our developers stay up to date on what our users need.

Thanks Ali for sharing that here.

Hi Steve,
Please feel free to submit a feature request regarding Tin Cap API 1.0 support.
Thanks, Ashley. I finally submitted a feature request, but I would be amazed if our good ole' developers were not aware of this huge need already. Without support for tin Can 1.0, Storyline is useless for output to the Tin Can SCORM.

Hi Ryan,
I have seen in another thread that using the converter mentioned by Phil here is a good method for the interim.

Just saw release 5. Congratulations!
I did not see a statement that SL is now supporting Tin Can 1.0. Does it (please, please)?

Hi Melinda and welcome to Heroes!

I searched for this topic and landed on this page, which lead me to believe that 1.0 was not supported. However, it is now supported, see here http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline-2/publishing-articulate-storyline-2-content-for-tin-can-api#Version
Hi Aaron,
Storyline 2 now supports Tin Can 1.0, although Storyline 1 is still only supported for Tin Can 0.95. So depending on which version you're using will determine which Tin Can option you have available.
