Hey there Jacqueline! Storyline does not publish to a single file like an MP4 video, so there isn't an option to vary the playback speed. You could add a seekbar to the player that would allow your learners to fast forward through the content, though!
Hello, this is a feature I really need for our learners too. I notice that you have the variable playback speed option on the Articulate produced getting started tutorials e.g. https://rise.articulate.com/?_ga=2.205084304.141500201.1503634282-1217071562.1502156555 can't you make this the player used when publishing Articulate materials? It's requested over and over again that learners want to either speed up or slow down video and audio material.
We do get lots of requests and ideas here in the forums and also through our feature request form.
We always love to hear feedback from our customers, and we take all of these suggestions into account. That video on "Getting Started" was not created with an Articulate tool, but I believe is created in Wistia - a video editing and hosting solution.

In case you're wondering, here's how we manage all of the ideas we receive!
