I would want to edit an Articulate Stroryline video that I have recorded. I would want to edit the timeline, change the mouse movement, and do a lot of other editing. Other than cropping and other basic stuff, does Storyline let me alter other things too? Please let me know. I would want to mainly alter timelines, change mouse style, mouse movements, and so on.
Here's how to edit screen recordings, including action fine-tuning. And here's how to add mouse cursors and movement. Hope that gets you started, and let us know if there's anything else we can help with. Welcome again!
I need to take one 1.5 hour video and chunk it up in my course. Do you recommend that I make a copy of the original video for each of the chunks that I need and trim it to where I want for each of the chunks?
That's one option - are you looking to do all the video editing and cutting it into chunks within Storyline or do you have another video editing software available?
Ok - then copying the video to trim it into the chunks is what you'll want to do, as within Storyline you'll only be able to trim from beginning and end, and not just identify a section in the middle. There is more information here about the Storyline video editing options.
I've seen users mention that copying/pasting the video inside Storyline doesn't cause duplication - but inserting it will treat it as a new video each time and therefore add to file size.

Hi Pallavi,
Welcome to Heroes. Unfortunately, what you want to do is not currently possible in Storyline. It would make a great feature request though.
Always Happy to Help,
Adrian

Hi all,
Had forgotten about the action fine tuning. That should handle your timeline stuff.

I don't have another video editor, so I'll be using Storyline.

My concern is that my project will contain the entire edited video multiple times and that the file size will be huge. Is that true?
It looks like Replay has no video editing.
You are correct Teresa. Replay is not meant to be a complex video editing tool and you would need a 3rd party to do so.

Microsoft's MovieMaker is free, and can handle what you want to do quite easily.
Any version XP or later seems pretty stable.
