Articulate Storyline - View mode issues

Oct 24, 2012

Hi, my company bought Stortyline.  I did a recording and outputed it in View Mode, edited some of the captions and inserted the appropriate notes in the Notes section.  Now, the video doesn't run as it did.  It does one select and stops.  This only happened when I inserted the notes and edited the caption content.  No other settings were touched.  Can you help?

Thanks,

Amy

Hi, Adrian

Thank you for that. I will submit the file shortly as it's a large file and is on my other laptop.  It has a total of 491 slides.  I have also had memory and previewing issues with it, too.  The memory alert I got (the laptop has a 3GB memory) was this:

The Project file could not be saved,  Your system appears to be low on memory.  Please close other programs down. and try again.

There were no other programs open.  I eventually saved it.  But when previewing the entire project it rushes though the preparing slides and doesn't seem to work as well.

I'll upload the file.

Thanks again,

Amy

Hi, Adrian,

You can close this issue as I no longer work for 'Said Company' . I told them the file was way too large to manage.  But when you have 'Training Managers with 'P.A.' backgrounds as opposed to 'Training', that is when projects tend to fall on their ass  Oh well....(cue elongated sigh.....)

Maybe Ice Cream making is a better profession...

Hi Amy,

I am sorry to hear that. There is a group on Linkedin called Articulate Rapid E-learning that might be a good place to find new work, if you don't mind me mentioning it. Also, new job opportunities come up all the time on these forums and via the twitter feeds of the Community Managers. You might try getting in touch with some of the more well known individuals on these forums. They might know of an opportunity or could give you tips on who is hiring.

Anyway, I hope things work out for you. Have a great weekend, if possible.

Adrian

P.S. Being an Ice Cream taste tester would be better.
