Seriously ... so there will never be transparent, documented system variables in SL? Could an Articulate employee articulate (pun intended) the thought process behind this? It blows my mind that this is not a strong consideration for future features.
I've been asking for system variables since before version 1, have submitted numerous product suggestions for it and am anticipating that we might, just might (fingers crossed) see some of these soon... So I'm seriously hoping that you're not aware of something in Articulate's planned approach to these that I haven't heard...
I have been an eLearning developer since .... well, let's say I've been creating CBTs since before PCs were born, on mainframes. Yeah, I'm that old. So, over the many years, CBT/WBT/eLearning tools have come and gone, and almost all have/had system variables. Today, although there are fewer development environments, Adobe Captivate and Storyline being the leaders, not having system variables is a real negative issue. Because a course I'm working on for a client requires the use of auto-page numbering, I will be developing that course in Captivate. Sorry. Seriously, Articulate, get your act together.

Manual page numbers alone. Then 50 other things.
That's there's interactivity and branching is a poor excuse for not having this feature. SL has to know what page within what scene you are on ...

Ever tried to QA a course and without being able to auto-generate unique screen titles?
Just want a Page X of Y in your course that is dynamic?
Can't be done in SL and that is not right.
