Articulate template adoption from different dimension

May 08, 2015

Many of the Articulate Storyline and PPT templates in the E-Learning, professional and cool, are provided and aimed to be inspiring, helpful, and no more need to re-invent the new wheel.

My issues: Lots of the previous templates were in 4:3 and I am working on 16:9. The import of these templates have a disproportion on the lines and shapes. I spent lots of time fixing each and everyone and sometimes, those in the non-visible states are even more painful to be spotted later.

Any advice and/or best practices? Suggestion: Articulate to review and provide two options to those who would like to download 4X3 and 16X9. Should make the Articulate a more happy world.

Hi Vincent,

I don't believe there are different options, but it's easier to take a 16:9 and scale it down than go the other way around. I'll share this thread with our community team who designs all the templates, but going forward I'd expect to see a lot more 16:9 set ups as that's becoming a bigger proportion of courses and more a standard.

Hi Yuyen,

It looks like you're using Storyline 360, is that right?

If so, the responsive mobile player takes all the guesswork out of choosing a slide size. It will dynamically adapt to different tablets and smartphones, providing an optimized view of your course on every device—no extra work required from you!

If you want to get an idea of what the course will look like on a mobile device, click any of the five device icons in the upper right corner of the Preview screen.
