Ask: help with disabling submit button until an object has visited all three hotspots

Dec 13, 2016

I want the submit button to be disabled until the object has been dropped on each of three hotspots (so then the learner has encountered all three text boxes associated with these hotspots).

I tried changing the text box state to visited, but can't figure out how to do that, so I don't know what to use as a variable to make the submit button conditional.

Any suggestions? Please :)

It's the last slide, with the yellow submarine.

Hi Sarah

I've added 3 true/false variables that are triggered when the object is dropped on their respective depth. I then have a trigger on each layer to change the submit button to normal once all three variables are true.

I have a text box with the three variables in the top left just for testing that you can see the triggers are changing the variables that are used in the submit trigger.

Hope this helps

I still can't get it to work, I don't know what I am doing wrong, I set up the variables based on the depths, and I set up the triggers, but the submit button still looks normal after visiting one depth, AND doesn't work at all (even after visiting all the depths it still won't progress to the next slide)

Hi Sarah are you viewing my original story file or the second one I put up -WF2?

Here is a video of the second example I did for you.  I have previewed the slide 3 times, each time the Submit button is disabled and the user can drop to any depth in any order - until all three have been dropped the Submit button remains disabled.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding what you mean.
