I have a storyline demo built with an assessment. When I get a passing score (in this case 80%) and exit the course, the LMS reports that I've passed with the 80% and the course is marked Passed.
The problem is when I relaunch the course and click Resume I'm brought back to the Results screen, but this time the score says 0%. When I check the Progress in the LMS the course is still marked as Passed with 0%!
I haven't seen that before. Can you replicate the issue in the SCORM Cloud? It is a really simple way to upload and launch your content, then review the debug logs and be informed of any issues with the content:
Thanks Brian. the exact same thing happened on the SCORM Cloud! I'm not sure where I should be looking for errors, but here's what's in the Debug log when I re-entered the course. I originally got 100% but then clicked Resume and it changed to 0% on the Results screen.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing as described above. I'll upload to SCORM cloud as well and see what the results are but I"m also not sure what I should be looking for while debugging, Brian, can you point me in the right direction?
We have just discovered this same problem and I found this thread in my search to see if others have encountered it.. We have also tested on the SCORM Cloud and had the same results. Has this issue been resolved?
Thanks for testing. If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Can you please go ahead and open a ticket with our support team, including the .story file, so they can take a closer look at what's going on?
I too have been experiencing this same issue and was able to replicate it in SCORM Cloud but was excited to read the release notes for Update 3 (1305.2013) included "Fixed the issue where the score would change to 0 when exiting and resuming on the result slide".
I have run the update to Storyline, republished my content and uploaded the revised output files to SCORM Cloud, but I am still getting the same issue - I assumed that a republish using this latest version would resolve this issue, but it would appear not.
I have raised a ticket with the Support Team attaching the .story file and will post back here if a resolution is discovered.
Looks like Jonathan has already received it and is testing it currently. He'll be contacting you ASAP, but in the meantime, you may want to try clearing your browser's cache after republishing just to ensure you're seeing the most recent version of the course.
As suggested, I have cleared my browser cache and I have also deleted my cookies etc. just to make sure but the issue is still being seen in SCORM Cloud.
I will await a response from Support to see if they have managed to identify the cause of this issue.
As per Peter's last comment, I am happy to report that my issue has indeed been resolved and was due to the way I have built the assessment question slides - as my client wants the user to be able to retake the quiz if they want to, I had set the revisiting of the question slides to Reset to Initial State and it was this action that was resetting the score on the results slide to 0 when re-launching my course.
As a fix, I have changed each question slide to Resume Saved State and have added 'Retry Quiz' and 'Review Quiz' options allowing the user to choose whether they make a new attempt or simply review their previous responses.
Hey Gouri-- So glad this thread was of help to you! I noticed that my colleague Alyssa had responded to you over here regarding this as well, just wanted to pop in and link the two for ease of access. Thanks so much for sharing your experience here! :)
I'm experiencing the same problem and working with Robert from Storyline on the issue. But while I am able to address the passing score changing issue by switching to "Reset to Saved State", the problem is that I then can't allow the user to retake the test if they failed. Is there any way I can do BOTH allow the passing to not reset to 0% AND have the user be able to go back and retake the test?
I've shared your additional question with Robert as well so that you can continue to work through this together.
Reaching out to the community is a smart idea. Hopefully, others that have had a similar requirement will be able to chime in with how they accomplished the task.

Any ideas?

If you can replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, submit a support case to us along with your .story file:

If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, then that means that the issue is caused by your LMS.

Mine is still working in SCORM cloud, great tool for debugging! Now I just get to deal with the LMS vendor, easier said than done.
Thanks, Brian!

Thanks for trying that, Antony.
I'm following along with your case as well (00334922), and Jonathan has received your latest email.
Thanks for the confirmation Peter. Is this an issue that was meant to be fixed in the latest update or is this likely to require a feature request?
Antony
Hey Antony,
Looks like it may be a bug with the question banks. Waiting for Jonathan to confirm...
Thanks for your help with this.
Thanks, and no problem!
Hey Antony,
Thanks for your patience with this one.
Happy to report that it looks like Justin got to the root of the issue. Please check your case email for the screencast
Hi Peter,
Is this a bug with the question banks? If so, is there an update to install?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
Hi Alex,
We appear to have resolved Antony's issue with the way the course was built, rather than a bug.
However, if this is the issue you seem to be experiencing, that was resolved with an update - Update 3.
Have you updated to Update 3 yet?
Morning all,

I hope this helps.
Antony
Very glad to hear that you reached resolution, and thanks for sharing that with everyone. Have a great day!
Hi Antony,
Even I was suffering from the same issue and your last comment gives me a relief. An issue has been fixed. Thanx a tonne..... :-)
