assessment screen

Jul 01, 2013

hi,

just wanted to check if the following is possible in Storyline. I have a sequencing assessment that is connected to a Results slide further on in the lesson. What I want to do is prevent a learner from getting past the assessment if they dont get it right. So, if the learner gets it right, they continue and finish the lesson and see that they got 100% in the results screen. However, if they get it wrong, they remain at the same screen and have to try it again. Is this doable? If so, would I have to create new buttons or what parameters would I have to reset (just score?)

BTW: I know this would be easier if I just prevented them moving past the results slide but this is the way I am told it needs to be set up.

thanks in advance

Pat

Hi Pat,

Not entirely sure I'm getting the right idea of what you'd like to do here. You want to prevent the user from continuing before they reach the results slide? Is that right?

You could do this, but it might be a bit tricky. If the learner is required to answer correctly before moving on, maybe you could set the amount of attempts per question to "Unlimited"? I'm not sure if that would work for you, but at least with that option, you know they've passed before they even see the results slide.
