Assistance with Advancing to Topic List and Sequence

First, I am very new to Articulate. No formal training whatsoever, and our Articulate Guru just quit....yeah....nice! So I am left with a mess.

I am working on a Storyline file that has COLs or check on learnings at the end of the topic and it will not go back to the Topic List screen. The Trigger is set to: “Jump to next slide when the user clicks the next button or swipes next.” I set it to Jump to 1.4 Topic List, but that did not solve the problem.  Also, after the question is answered there is a Continue prompt that shows with feedback. So, the user never really clicks the next button.
 

The other issue is that the Lesson Map (from the published file) is not showing Screen 5 of 64 in the correct order. Screen 5 is displayed after screen 4, but  the order is wrong on the left. See attachment. What is causing this?
