I've attached a PDF to a Storyline project through the Resources icon in Player section of the program.
The course is published for the Web wih an HTML5 output. When I launch the HTML file, the course opens fine runs great but I get the error attached. HELP!
Hi, I had read another post that discussed file names being finicky. I changed the file name of the attached PDF to exclude underscores, numbers, and I shortened it. Works fine now.
I was having the exact same error and I used your suggestion to fix the issue. My file name was too long. After I shortened the name and re-attached it to the resources, it opens without error. Thanks for the help.
I'm having a similar problem, except it is opening for some and not others. Attached is the message they are receiving. @Ashlye Terwilliger, any ideas?
Thanks for contacting us to share that you're seeing a similar issue. Interesting that it's opening for some and not others. Are they using different browsers perhaps?
Is this published to a web server or an LMS? In your image, it looks like the .zip file is being opened instead of the story.html file.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Thank you for reaching out. The file is published to an LMS. Our LMS is GeoLearning. I've uploaded the file and I trust that once done you will delete. Thank you for your help.
