There's no actual hard limit you can set, but you can restrict access. To do that, create a numeric variable (say takes) with an initial value of 1. Then on the slide that houses your retry quiz button (usually the results slide) create a Slide Trigger to change the state of the retry quiz button to hidden when timeline starts IF takes == 3. Finally create another trigger to add 1 to variable takes when user clicks on retry quiz (trigger should be placed on top).
In the example above, I allowed for 2 retakes, you can modify the number 3 to whatever you like.
