Audio click to go

Jun 04, 2015

Hi there, another newbie here! I have a slideshow with audio, and I don't want the audio to start until the student has clicked. I can create some new buttons and do it that way but i like the design of the seekbar and would just like the play/pause button to need a click before the audio starts. Surely this is possible?

Thanks,

Tracey

So you'd like to control the audio with the play/pause button? I don't think you can access the play/pause button / seekbar from a trigger, but I think theres still a way you can do this.

If you have only the audio on the slide, and nothing else happening before or after, you could paste the audio into that one slide and make the timeline equal to the length of the audio file.

Then you could have a trigger that pauses the timeline when the timeline starts and that way the audio wont start playing until the user resumes the timeline. If you line up the timeline with the audio length then the seekbar should accurately seek through the song.

I attached a .story file so you can see what I did. I hope this helps!
