Hi there, another newbie here! I have a slideshow with audio, and I don't want the audio to start until the student has clicked. I can create some new buttons and do it that way but i like the design of the seekbar and would just like the play/pause button to need a click before the audio starts. Surely this is possible?
So you'd like to control the audio with the play/pause button? I don't think you can access the play/pause button / seekbar from a trigger, but I think theres still a way you can do this.
If you have only the audio on the slide, and nothing else happening before or after, you could paste the audio into that one slide and make the timeline equal to the length of the audio file.
Then you could have a trigger that pauses the timeline when the timeline starts and that way the audio wont start playing until the user resumes the timeline. If you line up the timeline with the audio length then the seekbar should accurately seek through the song.
I attached a .story file so you can see what I did. I hope this helps!
Hi, Tracey, and welcome to the community! Looks like Jackson is taking care of you here; please check it out and let us know if you're all set or if you still need assistance. :)
I took a look at Jacksons file and he was utilizing the "pause timeline" trigger which is not a part of Storyline 1, so I wasn't able to recreate what he did for you in Storyline 1. I hope other community members are able to weigh in and share their thoughts here.
