I thought I had in place a stop for the original audio 1 and 2 on the base layer when each button is pushed, but if I push button 3 first, the audio continues. What am I doing wrong?
i am not seeing this issue. When I select any of the buttons, the base layer audio is stopped and the layer audio plays. You could also set the layers to pause the timeline of the base layer and remove the triggers to stop the medias on the base layer.
I tried pressing each of the buttons first, then going to the other ones after. I could not get the base layer to keep playing. However, using the pause base layer should eliminate the need for the triggers to stop the media.

Have you tired it several times by going to different buttons at different times?

So click this on each layer and get rid of the triggers?
